This expansive 6-day journey offers an unparalleled exploration of Egypt’s two most iconic cities, seamlessly blending the bustling history of Cairo with the monumental grandeur of Luxor. The tour begins in Cairo, where you are greeted with personalized assistance and smoothly transferred to your hotel to commence your Egyptian adventure. The initial days are dedicated to the wonders surrounding the capital, starting with a privately guided tour of the Giza Plateau. Here, you will stand in awe of the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and contemplate the mysteries of the Great Sphinx, one of the world’s oldest and largest sculptures. The exploration of Cairo continues with a full-day tour that takes you into the heart of the city’s treasures, including the Egyptian Museum, which houses the world’s most precious collection of Egyptian art, featuring the legendary treasures of Tutankhamen. You will also visit the historic Citadel, the beautiful Alabaster Mosque, the ancient churches of Coptic Cairo, and the vibrant Khan El Khalili bazaar.

The adventure then moves south with a domestic flight to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. In Luxor, you will explore the magnificent temples on the East Bank, including the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, and the impressive Luxor Temple. The final full day of exploration is dedicated to the West Bank, the necropolis of the pharaohs, where you will visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, the stunning terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the colossal statues of the Colossi of Memnon. This tour is a perfect combination of Pharaonic history, from the pyramids of the Old Kingdom to the temples and tombs of the New Kingdom.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival Cairo. Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around The Clock)

Arrival in Cairo, assistance and transfer to your hotel to start your Cairo city break. Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and escort you to the hotel by an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary to confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02 :
Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx

After breakfast, you will be met by your personal guide to discover the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. You will start with the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos – then visit the Valley Temple where priests mummified the dead body of King Chephre. The tour continues with visits to The Great Sphinx of Giza, a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 03 :
Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Old area of Cairo & Khan El Khalili

After breakfast, you will be escorted by your private tour guide to visit the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, Old Cairo, and Khan El Khalili bazaar. The full-day tour begins at 09:00 am with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period and displays the largest, most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. The tour continues to The Citadel to visit The Alabaster Mosque Of Mohamed Ali Pasha. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will discover Coptic Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga. You will then explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar, before being transferred back to your hotel.

Day 04 :
Optional Tour to Alexandria

After breakfast and checkout, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor. At Luxor Airport, a representative will assist you and transfer you to visit the impressive Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple. You will visit Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, and the Temple Of Luxor, built by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II. Afterwards, you will be driven to your hotel in Luxor.

Day 05 :
West Bank Excursions

After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist tour guide to discover The West Bank of Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle. You will drive to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where many kings were buried. Known tombs include those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, and King Ramssess VI. You will then visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt. You will also pass by the colossi of Memnon, which are remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. After your trip, you will be driven to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 06 :
Final Departure From Cairo

After breakfast in your hotel, your tour manager will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for departure.
