Overview

This ambitious 11-day grand tour is a whirlwind odyssey across eight European nations, charting a path from the ancient heart of Greece, through the diverse landscapes of the Balkan Peninsula, and culminating in the sophisticated cities of Northern Italy. The journey begins in Athens, the cradle of Western civilization, with a tour of its iconic ancient sites, including the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the famous Acropolis. From there, the route heads north through Greece to Thessaloniki before crossing into Macedonia to explore the historic city of Bitola and the scenic shores of Ohrid. The adventure continues its fast-paced progression through the heart of the Balkans, with a full day dedicated to discovering the cities of Pristina and Prizren in Kosovo, followed by a journey through Albania to Shkoder.

The tour then traces the stunning Adriatic coastline, with stops in Montenegro to see Budva and the old town of Kotor, followed by a visit to the famed Croatian city of Dubrovnik. Venturing inland, you will discover the rich history of Bosnia & Herzegovina with visits to the historic town of Mostar and the capital, Sarajevo. The journey pushes westward into Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, and then into Slovenia to see the charming city of Ljubljana. The grand finale unfolds in Italy, where you will experience the timeless romance of Venice, the legendary allure of Verona—home of Romeo and Juliet—and the high fashion of Milan, concluding an unforgettable cross-continental adventure.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrive Athens (L/D)

Upon arrival at Athens international airport, you will meet your guide for a city tour, including Syntagma Square, the Houses of Parliament, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the famous Acropolis (entrance optional). After lunch, you will transfer to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :
Athens – Thessaloniki (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, you will drive to Thessaloniki. After lunch, you will have a sightseeing tour of the seaside, the White Tower, and the Turning Tower before dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03 :
Thessaloniki – Bitola – Ohrid (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will drive to Bitola for a city tour that includes the Clock tower, old bazaar, Yeni Mosque, and Isak Mosque. After lunch, you will proceed to Ohrid for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04 :
Ohrid – Skopje (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, you will have a sightseeing tour of Ohrid, with an optional boat tour available. Sights include the Lower Gate, Cathedral Church Saint Sophia, the Antique Theater, Tsar Samuil Fortress, and Church Saint John Kanoe. You will then drive to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, for lunch and a tour to view the stone bridge, the fortress, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Mother Theresa Memorial house, and the old Bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Skopje.

Day 05 :
Skopje – Pristina – Prizren – Shkoder (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, the journey takes you to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, for sightseeing that includes the Watch Tower, Sultan Murad Mosque, and Ottoman houses. You will then leave for Prizren for lunch and a tour of Prizren Castle, Sinan Pasha Mosque, and other historic churches. Afterwards, you will transfer to Shkoder for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06 :
Shkoder – Budva – Kotor – Dubrovnik – Trebinje (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, the tour goes to St. Stefan for a photo stop, then on to Budva for sightseeing. You will get a castle view of Kotor and explore the Old Town of Kotor. After lunch, you will proceed to Dubrovnik to view the Old city square, Dubrovnik Tower and walls, and St Vlah Church before transferring to Trebinje for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 07 :
Trebinje – Mostar – Sarajevo (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, you will proceed to Mostar to tour the historic town, including the Turkish Quarter and the old stone bridge, a UNESCO world heritage site. After lunch, you will journey to Sarajevo for a sightseeing tour of the Turkish Bazaar, Husrev Bey Mosque, and the Latin Bridge. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 08 :
Sarajevo – Zagreb (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, you will drive to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Sightseeing includes the Medieval Upper Town (Gornji Grad) and the Monumental Lower Town (Donji Grad). Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.

Day 09 :
Zagreb – Ljubljana – Venice (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, you will drive to Ljubljana for a sightseeing tour of Ljubljana Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, the Triple Bridge, and the Dragon Bridge. After lunch, you will transfer to Venice for a sightseeing tour, passing to the island by Vapuretto. The tour starts with San Marco Square and includes the Palace of Dukes and the Rialto Bridge. An optional Gondola Ride is available. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 10 :
Venice – Verona – Garda – Milano (B/L/D)

After breakfast and check-out, the journey takes you to the lovely city of Verona, famous for Romeo & Juliet. Sightseeing includes the Verona Arena and Juliet's house. You will then transfer to Garda Lake before continuing to Milan for a city tour of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Sforza Castle, and the luxury stores of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 11 :
Depart Milano (B)

After breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to Milan international airport for your departure flight.
