Overview
This 7-day tour offers the quintessential Egyptian experience, combining an in-depth exploration of Cairo’s ancient wonders with a classic multi-day cruise along the majestic Nile River. Your journey begins in Cairo with personalized airport assistance and a smooth transfer to your hotel, setting the stage for a comfortable and well-organized adventure. The first part of your trip is dedicated to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll be guided through the history of the last surviving wonders of the ancient world. You will stand before the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and unravel the mystery of the Great Sphinx, one of the world’s oldest and largest sculptures.
The tour then transitions from land to water, with a flight to the southern city of Aswan, where you will embark on a Nile River cruise. In Aswan, you will visit marvels of both ancient and modern engineering, including the world-famous High Dam, the beautifully relocated Philae Temple dedicated to Isis and Hathor, and the massive Unfinished Obelisk. From there, you will sail north, stopping to explore unique riverside temples like the dual Temple of Kom Ombo, shared by the gods Sobek and Haeroris, and the remarkably preserved Horus Temple in Edfu. The cruise culminates in Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, where you will explore the grand Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank, as well as the legendary Valley of the Kings and the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut on the West Bank, before flying back to Cairo for your departure.
